Geseend is die wat Honger en Dors na Geregtigheid

In Matteus 5: 6 lees ons: “Salig is die wat honger en dors na geregtigheid, want hulle sal versadig word!”

Ons was almal honger en dors. Die mees basiese behoefte van elkeen van ons is kos en water. Ons kan sonder baie dinge in die lewe oorleef, maar ons kan nie sonder kos en water leef nie. Die mees basiese stowwe wat ons met voedsel en drank kan vereenselwig, is brood en water, en dit is ook die dinge wat ons met Yeshua, ons Messias, kan assosieer. Hy is die brood van die lewe. Hy nooi ons om van die lewende water te drink. Wat beteken dit presies? Wanneer maak Yeshua hierdie stellings? Wat kan ons by hulle leer? En wat het dit alles met geregtigheid te doen?

Ons moet ons voorberei as ‘n bruid van die Messias. Ons moet onsself voorberei met dade van geregtigheid. Ons moet begin honger en dors na daardie geregtigheid asof ons dit net soveel nodig het soos brood en water – omdat ons het!

Mag hierdie reeks u help om uself voor te berei as Sy bruid, net soos Openbaring 19: 7 & 8 ons roep om dit te doen.
